The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a five-year strategy for Poland, emphasizing investments in green transition projects and support for innovation and economic integration. With €14.6 billion already invested in 534 projects, including €1.3 billion last year, the EBRD plans to take equity stakes in environmental and advanced technology initiatives.
According to a statement from EBRD’s Warsaw Office Director Elisabeth Falcetti on Thursday, the bank will focus on improving energy and resource efficiency in industry, buildings, and logistics. Additionally, the EBRD aims to support innovative and competitive Polish companies looking to grow domestically and internationally. These investments will enhance Poland’s stagnant manufacturing productivity and unlock its economic growth potential.
Over the next five years, another key initiative will be investing in sustainable transport and logistics infrastructure to improve connectivity, particularly with Ukraine. The EBRD, founded in 1991, aims to support the economic development of central and eastern European countries transitioning from communism.
At Winged IT, we have extensive experience assisting logistics companies. In one notable case, our client aimed to establish an IT solutions subsidiary by assembling a skilled engineering team that aligned with their global vision. This success highlights our capability to support innovative logistics companies, reflecting the EBRD’s mission to promote economic development in central and eastern Europe.
