DXC Technology, one of the world’s leading IT services providers, has taken another step in expanding its global AI footprint by opening a new Warsaw AI Center of Competence. The hub employs 500 data and AI specialists and joins a network of DXC innovation centers in Bulgaria, India, the Philippines, and Spain.
Warsaw Center Powers DXC’s Global AI
The Warsaw hub is designed around three strategic pillars: resilient cloud infrastructure, intuitive AI interfaces, and a centralized R&D hub. Its mission is to help organizations worldwide accelerate responsible AI adoption, modernize their data strategies, and unlock efficiency gains.
Customers are already seeing the benefits. Ferrovial, a global infrastructure giant, is collaborating with DXC’s Warsaw-based engineers on AI Workbench, a generative AI platform that integrates over 30 intelligent agents.
“We are excited to tap into DXC’s global engineering expertise through the AI Center of Competence Center in Warsaw,” said Javier Lázaro, Digital Hub Director at Ferrovial.
The system is already being used by Ferrovial to improve real-time decision-making and strengthen safety standards across its operations.
Pete McEvoy, DXC’s Managing Director for Data & AI, stressed that Warsaw’s new hub is more than just another technology office. It’s about creating a global ecosystem for continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Why Warsaw?
While Warsaw’s growing reputation as one of Europe’s top investment destinations (highlighted in the “Financial Times – European Cities and Regions of the Future 2025” report) makes it an obvious choice for international expansion, we believe DXC’s decision goes deeper.
The real driver behind this move is Poland’s exceptional programming talent. Over the past decade, Polish developers have earned global recognition for their skills, consistently ranking among the best in the world in coding competitions and AI research. With over 400,000 IT specialists, Poland offers one of the largest and most capable talent pools in Europe.
Pete McEvoy also emphasized the Polish programmers and their impact on the project: “Our experts in Poland will work with colleagues and customers around the world to deliver solutions that drive meaningful transformation across industries and geographies. By bringing together the right people, refining processes, and leveraging cutting-edge technology, we ensure that our AI innovations are not only powerful but practical, sustainable, and truly impactful.”
Poland’s Strategic Role in Global AI
The establishment of DXC’s Warsaw AI Center of Competence shows how Poland is evolving from a nearshore delivery destination into a true innovation partner for the global tech industry. Warsaw, therefore, represents a dual advantage: a city recognized for its investment appeal and a talent hub shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
