Warsaw has been recognized as one of the top investment destinations in Europe, securing third place in the prestigious “European Cities of the Future 2025” ranking, published by fDi Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times. The Polish capital improved its position from fourth place last year, now standing just behind London and Dublin in the “Major Cities” category.

Warsaw – a Regional Business Hub

The results confirm Warsaw’s strong economic performance and growing appeal to investors.

“The ranking proves that Warsaw is doing well as a regional business capital. Investors appreciate the city’s assets: the region’s largest market for modern office real estate, well-educated and ambitious professionals, and, above all, the high quality of life provided by the city’s infrastructure solutions,” said Rafał Trzaskowski, the mayor of Warsaw.

According to fDi Intelligence, Warsaw has created more FDI-related jobs than any other European city in the past five years. Multinational companies, including Google, continue to expand their operations in the Polish capital, further solidifying its position as a key business destination. The city has also attracted over $1 billion in foreign investments in software development since 2020, positioning itself as a leading hub for the IT sector.

Poland’s Strong Presence in the fDi Intelligence Rankings

In the top “major cities” categories, Warsaw moved from fourth in last year’s ranking to third this time, behind London in first and Dublin in second. Warsaw performed exceptionally well in subcategories, ranking second in both Human Capital & Lifestyle and Business Friendliness, highlighting its ability to attract top talent and create a favorable environment for businesses.

  • Wrocław, known as the “Polish Silicon Valley,” secured the top spot among “Mid-Sized Cities” thanks to its rapid technological growth and significant foreign investments in the tech sector.
  • Gliwice ranked second for Business Friendliness among “Small Cities.”
