Last week, our co-founders, Tomasz Szadkowski and Wiktor Tarnawski, represented Winged IT and the Polish technology sector at South Summit 2026, one of Europe’s leading innovation and entrepreneurship events, held in Madrid, Spain.

Our presence at South Summit was part of a broader internationalization initiative organized by InSilesia, alongside seven other companies from the Silesian region: Brainstorm Group, Carbon Studio VR, EcoBioTech, ENERGIYA, GGDAB, Louder&Higher, and Senetic.
The delegation constituted a strong and visible representation of the region’s innovation potential on the global stage. The trip was carried out as part of the project titled ‘Interglobal – internationalization of SMEs from the Silesian Voivodeship’ FE SL 2021–2027, Priority FESL.01 European Funds for Smart Development, Measure FESL.01.10 Export promotion and internationalization of SMEs.”
Polish Expertise Meets Spanish Innovation
South Summit once again proved to be an outstanding platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and business development. Throughout the event, we held numerous valuable meetings with potential partners and clients from various international markets.
Equally inspiring were the keynote speeches and panel discussions led by global technology leaders, which offered valuable insights into emerging trends and the future direction of the industry.
A notable highlight of this year’s event was the presence of His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, further underscoring the summit’s prestige and international significance.
Recently, we explored the similarities and differences between the Polish and Spanish technology ecosystems in one of our articles, and our experience at South Summit only reinforced those observations. Both Poland and Spain offer compelling alternatives to higher-cost technology hubs such as the UK, Ireland, and the United States.
Poland continues to stand out for its exceptional engineering talent, technical expertise, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions at competitive operational costs. Spain, on the other hand, has established itself as one of Western Europe’s most attractive digital and business gateways, combining a growing innovation ecosystem with strong international appeal.
