Winged IT envoys spent the last week in Toronto, where our company had a booth at Collision 2022. We were Collision partners (as did Web Summit) for the second year in a row. Last year the Collision event was held online due to the Covid 19 pandemic, so we were excited to be in person this year.

We must admit that the trip to Canada met our expectations with a vengeance! There were hundreds of discussions with new and potential clients from around the world, evening networkings, a party at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto, and visits to many charming Ontario attractions. Above all, we met a massive number of amicable people – open to new contacts and willing to learn from others.

For us, the trip to Collision was an eye-opening experience too. We found out, among others, that in Canada currently occurs a specific situation in the job market where many employers are trying to restore work in an office. And employees, especially in the Tech field, prefer remote work or at least hybrid after the pandemic. It would require businesses to hire remotely more in the future – both individual professionals, as well as teams. It creates an interesting dynamic in the Canadian market and a chance for Winged IT for further contracts – with both smaller companies and local giants.
