About the Client
A Global Fintech Leader operating across more than 40 markets and serving tens of millions of users worldwide. In 2024, the company decided to establish a new Tech Hub in Poland to strengthen its engineering capabilities in Europe.
Challenge
The client needed to rapidly build high-performing engineering teams while maintaining exceptionally high standards of technical expertise and cultural alignment. The key challenges included:
- recruiting top-tier engineers with world-class qualifications and experience in the latest technologies, including AI-related areas,
- ensuring strong cultural fit within a global, quality-driven organization,
- scaling the new Polish Tech Hub quickly and efficiently,
- attracting specialists willing to work in a hybrid model, including regular on-site presence in the Warsaw office.
The required competencies covered a broad spectrum: full-stack development, backend engineering, DevOps, application and operational security, data science, analytics, mobile development, solution engineering, and technical leadership.
Solution
Winged IT was selected as a local partner to build the client’s engineering teams in Poland. Our approach included:
- assembling a dedicated team of experienced recruiters and delivery managers with deep knowledge of the Polish IT market,
- designing a recruitment process aligned with the client’s standards and expectations,
- delivering candidates in a staff augmentation model, with the option for the client to hire them directly after the initial engagement,
- maintaining continuous communication, rapid feedback loops, and full transparency throughout the cooperation.

Results
Within the first phase of cooperation:
- approximately 50 engineers were hired across multiple technology domains,
- many specialists have already been transitioned directly to the client,
